Back in Ca for a spell

Back in CA as of June '09. Need to get this page up to date so I can link to FB and get some of my craft stuff going again. Putting it in my heaping to do list lol.

Still around just very limited Internet so far.. so not much online time. Well I was going to keep this and my MySpace pages separate to keep the creepy people away from here lol But no reason not to give link here. Keep in mind the page is 6+ years old I don't have a connection to update it and hadn't even started using it till resent because I can leave a blog off an on using my Cell.
Going nuts.. don't have any of my crafts stuff... and going stir crazy! Take care

ahhhh Where am I!?!

OK I know where I am... but still ahhhhhhhhhhhhh. I'm now living in KY i have none of my craft stuff other then a few knitting needles. It'll be a bit before I have my things and probably longer before I'm settled and can make anything... unless I break down and go buy something to do it with ... but I just feel like I don't know where to go.. what to get and where to start right now. In used to having the internet for inspiration but access is somewhat limited. I just need sometime to get used to everything then things will probably click with me again. Just wanted to update the page... take care back soon

Back I hope!

After I hurt my back. We went right into the last months of school. Being my Daughters last year of elementary school before heading off to Middle School/Jr High they had a lot of activities going on and I helped out at the school a bit and went with on their field trips. So needless to say I haven't had much free time. Summer is here now so I hope to get back to some crafting and online time! Hope everyone is well.. take care.

I'm still around. Sorry I haven't posted in awhile. Lots of personal stuff going on... and I hurt my back so I haven't been able to sit long on the computer. But I promise to come up date and get some new pic's up soon. I've made some fingerless gloves and some iPod bags. be back soon

I've finished a couple more baby hats. (For those wondering Baby Hats are just what I'm currently into due to a sudden rise in babies and preg people I know, and I love it! I will do other things too.. )
Okay I've finished another 2 hats ... the first was a black and gray one that I planned on giving little tied ears but I should have used a single strand instead of two. It's a little to dense to gather. But it would be great for cold weather! The second hat I was experamenting to see if I could do a patchwork pattern. But the raw edge didn’t curl up and looked unfinished till I crocheted the edge and now it wont give enough for a hat… so it’s going to be a doll hat, a draw string bag, or I may redo the edging. If so I’ll post new pics.
For more pictures I added a link to my Flickr projects album to the left side. Next post I'll have some pictures of a baby beanie I'm making for a friend who's part of the Pogo tournament group I'm in. She requested Steeler's team colors gold & black.

Newer hats

As I look at the hats that I posted... I realize these are mostly older ones from when I first started making hats. As I said in an earlier blog, some of the knitted hats I made recently walked off as fast as I could get them off my hook. Of course I didn't take pictures... gerrr. Had quite a few knitted chenille hats that were adopted by my daughters friends.
But I have a couple more baby hats in the works that are fun colors I'll post here when I get them done.

Found it!

Of course the camera was hidden in the drawer I thought it was in to begin with!!! Been looking all week.. gerrr.

So I've taken a bunch of pictures and I'll try and add a couple here but I'll have to get the others on in a day or so.

I’m feeling icky not sick... just restarted taking my ADD/ADHD meds today in the hope I could get more focused and organized. Then I had too much soda and coffee. Was ok till the coffee and now I'm pretty icky.

Oh great not only is the spell check not working but the picture option isn't either.
FYI it works with FireFox!

Ok thought I'd share. Being it's the beginning of the year and like it or not weight loss is in the air or at least on every freaking channel! My mom directed me to an online weight loss community that is free... amazing... but it is. So I'll give it a try... I'll add a link to this post and if I'm happy with it over time I'll add a link on my page. If anyone else has any input please leave a comment to this post.

Camera

I'm feeling better! But still can't find my camera! Mom told me I could use hers so I may resort to that... it's more the fact that I can't find it that's driving me nuts!
Been hanging around the Craftster boards and tried to make some wrist warmers.... finished one but it's pretty sad looking. Started out knitting and went to crochet. Once again I'll have to post pictures soon.

Well it's really late, I just wanted to drop by... should be back more now that I'm feeling better.

Handmade stuff..

I added a link to some of my Favorites on Etsy to the left side of the page. Soon I will change it to show my items. (I'll post when I do) But for now I'm getting the hang of this blog and the Etsy site ... so things are moving along slowly but they are moving.

Woke up this morning and finally fell ill to the cold that has been going threw the house this last week. I thought I was in the clear.. but no.. cough.. cough.. it got me.

uug.. i stink

Ok finally got things together and set up to take pictures today and my camera has gone missing. As soon as I work out that little glitch I'll post some pic's and I may just resort to taking pictures with my phone. Kind of the reason the camera is misplaced is because I rarely use it anymore because of my cell being with me all the time. Wish me luck!

Etsy Storefront

I now have a Etsy storefront http://www.aprilscrafty.etsy.com/ it looks pretty plane right now. But I did opened it about 20 minutes ago.. lol.
I've probably knitted 20 hats this last week but I keep joking that I need to make them without feet because they keep walking off right after I finish. I also have some purses I crocheted that still need liners and some other stuff. I just need to set things up to take some pictures and then I'll post them.

Simple Pleasures

I've fallen into a online craft heaven... I'll explain, I received a iPod Nano for Xmas (pretty cool huh) and found some cool craft podcasts.

i.e. ~ http://www.craftedby.us/ and others I'll have to let you know about later.

Silly me didn't know you could use iTunes to see podcasts on her puter without needing a ipod... but I still like my pod ;-) But this has lead me to Etsy.com that is kind of a ebay for crafter's handmade items. Also today I found Flickr and all it's Craft Groups... I'm so happy!!

So simple pleasures for simple minds! Well I've got to run knit some hats for may daughters friends. I'll try and get some pictures of my projects and things I've made to post soon.

Okay.. I'm new to blogger. But I'm going to try and start a page here and get rid of my old MySpace account that I've been avoiding for a year or so now. It just got to be a bit too creepy there.
